baby Anton neglect trial hears of clean-up list in dirty home
A child neglect trial has heard how police found a list of clean-up jobs in the rubbish-strewn home of a three-month-old baby boy who had died.
This included "fag ends in toilet" and "sweets and crisps all over the place", as well as "no vest or bottoms on Anton" as well as "dishes in sink".
The evidence was heard at the trial of Ashley McDonald, 20, and 21-year-old Marc Morrison at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
They deny the wilful neglect of Anton, who died in February last year.
The court heard how police searched the flat in the city's Thornliebank following the child's death.Used nappies
An envelope was found on the bathroom floor with a note describing what had to be done to clean the home.
The note said there was half-eaten food in the living room and "no fresh water in steriliser".
The court was told there were more than 10 used nappies found in the flat.
A total of 11 bags of waste were also discovered inside the home as well as another 10 on a balcony.
It was also alleged mould was spotted on the mattress of a baby's crib.
As well as claims of mess and foul-smells, the court heard Mr Muscle cleaner was found in the kitchen.
Ms McDonald and Mr Morrison deny neglecting Anton between October 2010 and February last year.
The trial, before Sheriff Stuart Reid, continues.
