A teenager who stabbed his friend to death has been jailed for life.
John Dick, 19, was told he should serve a minimum 15 years for murdering Leslie Berry, also 19, after a row at a party in Kilsyth.
Violence erupted after Dick's brother caused damage to the victim's kitchen.
Mr Berry was stabbed six times, with one blow severing his femoral artery and causing fatal bleeding during the attack in August 2011.
Dick admitted culpable homicide, claiming he did not intend to kill Mr Berry, but a jury found him guilty of murder.
The court was told that a row developed between Dick and Mr Berry after the victim wanted to throw Dick's brother Jamie out of his house because he had damaged his kitchen.
A pathologist had told the court that two knives were used in the incident.
Passing sentence at the High Court in Kilmarnock, Judge John Morris QC said Dick should serve 15 years before being considered for parole.
