Dara O'Briain, Rory Bremner and Jenny Eclair are among the headline acts announced for this year's Glasgow International Comedy Festival.

The event, which returns for a 10th year in March, will see more than 330 shows at 40 venues around the city.

Greg McHugh, from Gary: Tank Commander, and comedian Frankie Boyle will host a fundraising gala for Palestine.

Almost 100,000 tickets are available for events at the festival, which will run from 15 March to 1 April.

The festival's full line-up, which was unveiled on Wednesday, also includes the likes of Sarah Millican, Janey Godley and Stewart Lee.

'Tremendous' comedians

Daniel Sloss will perform at the King's Theatre, Jon Richardson will play the Garage and Josh Widdicombe is appearing at The Stand Comedy Club.

The venue will also act as a platform for up-and-coming talent, who can participate in its Red Raw beginners' showcases.

Tommy Sheppard, director of the Scottish Comedy Agency, the company behind the festival, said: "Each year the Glasgow International Comedy Festival becomes even more anticipated than the last.

"The calibre of comedians we have had grace the festival over the years has been tremendous and this year is no exception.

"We're very happy that we are still putting smiles on people's faces, especially in such tough economic conditions."
