A 19-year-old woman has died after a crash in Kilbirnie in Ayrshire.
Her Vauxhall Corsa collided with a Peugeot 308 on the B780 Kilbirnie to Dalry Road at about 0900 BST on Thursday.
She was airlifted to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley but died from her injuries.
The 61-year-old woman driver of the other car was taken to Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock with chest and back injuries.
Police have appealed for witnesses.
