Greenock jail prisoner death inquiry to be held

A fatal accident inquiry is to be held after the death of a prisoner in HMP Greenock in Inverclyde.

Dale Mulholland, who was 22, was remanded in custody on 16 March at Greenock Sheriff Court.

He had been charged with assault to severe injury and permanent disfigurement.

The Scottish Prison Service said that Strathclyde Police and Mr Mulholland's family had been informed.
