Ski mask trio steal more than £10,000 in broad daylight

Three men wearing ski masks have stolen more than £10,000 from a man in the Carntyne area of Glasgow, police said.

The 43-year-old was in his car on Edinburgh Road at 1530 BST when he was approached by the men.

After the robbery, which police said involved a five-figure sum, the suspects made off in a grey-coloured car in the direction of Baillieston.

Strathclyde Police said the victim was badly shaken. Officers are checking CCTV and have appealed for witnesses.

Det Sgt David Scott said: "Edinburgh Road would have been busy at the time of the incident and I believe someone would have seen something that maybe vital to our inquiry."

The first suspect is described as slimly built, 5ft 8-9in tall, wearing a black ski mask, dark bomber jacket, dark blue jeans and white trainers.

The other suspects were also wearing black ski masks and dark clothing.
