Two men have appeared in court after police seized heroin with a street value of £150,000 from a property in Edinburgh.

Andrew Squair, 28, and Geoffrey Miller, 58, were charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act at a house in Citadel Court on Tuesday.

The men made their first appearance before Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

They made no plea or declaration and were bailed.

The date of their next appearance has not yet been set.

Det Insp Alan O'Brien, of Police Scotland, said: "This is a significant quantity of drugs that have been taken out of circulation.

"The supply and misuse of drugs is a priority for police in the North of Edinburgh, and I would appeal for anyone with information about drug dealing to contact their local officers."
