Man in court over two indecent assaults in Livingston

A 26-year-old man has appeared in court charged with two alleged sexual assaults on women in Livingston.

Mariusz Cieslar made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody until his next court appearance.

His arrest followed a major police investigation after a report that a 21-year-old woman was attacked in her garden on 8 April.

Five weeks later, a 27-year-old woman alleged that she had been assaulted in her flat in the West Lothian town.
