Driver who crashed with lorry in West Lothian in critical condition

A motorist is in a critical but stable condition in hospital with multiple injuries following a crash with a heavy goods vehicle in West Lothian.

The 20-year-old driver's silver Vauxhall Corsa collided with the lorry on Carnegie Road in Livingston at about 11:30 on Saturday.

The 53-year-old man driving the HGV was uninjured.

Carnegie Road was closed for six hours while an investigation was carried out by police.

Police Scotland appealed for witnesses.
