Edinburgh bridge crash lorry driver charged by police

A driver whose lorry struck a railway bridge before overturning in Edinburgh has been charged by police.

The 51-year-old has been charged with careless driving by Police Scotland following the A7 Dalkeith Road near Cameron Toll on Wednesday.

The road was closed. Network Rail said there are no disruptions on that stretch of track.

The driver was checked over in hospital and later released uninjured.
