Family of crash victim David Shields pay tribute

The family of man who died after his vehicle was involved in a crash in Fife has paid tribute to a "kind, caring and generous person".

David Shields, 36, was killed in a crash between a car and a pick-up truck on the B981 between Cluny and Cardenden.

The collision took place at about 06:40 on Wednesday.

Mr Shields died at the scene and another man was taken to hospital in Kirkcaldy.

In a statement released through Police Scotland, Mr Shields' family said: "David was a kind, caring and generous person.

"He was a devoted husband and father to his children, he loved life, people, and spending time with the people he loved and cared for.

"He will be sorely missed by his immediate and extended family and the many friends and colleagues who had known him during his all too short 36 years."
