Four men arrested over Glenrothes disturbance

Four men have been arrested following a disturbance in Fife at the weekend.

The men aged 17, 18 and two 19, are in police custody following an incident in Woodside Road in Glenrothes at about 01:00 on Sunday.

Three men in their 50s received serious injuries.

A 50-year-old man remains in a critical condition at the Western General Hospital, while two other men have been released from Victoria Hospital following treatment.

A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal and the four teenagers are due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Tuesday.

Det Insp Colin Robson, of Police Scotland, said: "We received a very good response to our appeal for information and would like to thank the public for their considerable assistance.

"Police Scotland will continue to work hard to identify those responsible for bringing violence to our streets and do our utmost to keep people safe."
