Police appeal for information over Forth Valley farm fire

Police have appealed for information after a fire at a farm in Forth Valley.

Fire crews were called to extinguish a fire at Parkhall Farm in Maddiston at about 17:40 on Monday 19 May.

It is believed that a bale of hay at an outbuilding had been deliberately set alight.

PC Karen Ross, who is based at Grangemouth, said: "If members of the public saw anyone acting suspicious near Parkhall Farm last Monday then it is imperative they come forward.

"Inquiries are ongoing to find out the full circumstances of the incident and to identify those responsible.

She added: "Fire raising is a dangerous and irresponsible crime and in this instance there was a high risk of the outbuilding also catching fire."
