Clubber sustains serious head injuries in Fife nightclub

A man is being treated for head and mouth injuries in hospital after he was attacked in a Fife nightclub.

The 35-year-old man was attacked near the dance floor in Lorenzo's Nightclub in Dunfermline at about 02:00 on Sunday.

He is being treated at Edinburgh's Western General Hospital and police are urging anyone who can help with their inquiries to come forward.

Det Ch Ins Alan Findlay, of Police Scotland said it was a serious assault.

He said: "The club is known to have been very busy at the time of the attack and so any patrons who were within and saw anything suspicious are asked to contact police immediately.

"In addition, anyone with any further information relevant to this investigation is also asked to get in touch."
