John Higgins named as victim of fatal A71 collision

Police have named the victim of a fatal collision on the A71 in West Lothian on Thursday.

John Higgins, 41, died after his car was involved in a three-vehicle crash between Polbeth and West Calder.

In a statement, his family said: "John Higgins was a devoted father, loving son, brother, nephew and wonderful uncle.

"He will be dearly missed by all his family and the rest of the West Calder and Polbeth community".

Police have appealed for witnesses who may have seen Mr Higgins' silver Vauxhall Vectra in the Polbeth area before the incident.
