Man dies following three-car crash in West Lothian

A 41-year-old man has died following a three-car crash in West Lothian.

The crash happened on the A71 between Polbeth and West Calder at about 21:10 on Thursday.

Police said the driver of a silver Vauxhall Vectra was trapped in his car and died at the scene.

The road was closed for six hours and police have appealed for anyone with information about the crash to contact them.

A man and a woman from the other vehicles were taken to St John's Hospital in Livingston with non-life threatening injuries.
