Man seriously injured after being hit by Edinburgh bus

A pedestrian is in a serious condition in hospital after being hit by a bus in Edinburgh.
The 51-year-old man suffered "significant" head and arm injuries in the accident in Colinton Mains Drive at about 20:20 GMT on Wednesday.
Police said it happened shortly after a number 4 Lothian bus set off from a stop next to a Tesco store.
The man was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary before being transferred to the Western General.
Sgt Brian Smith, of Police Scotland, said: "We are trying to establish exactly what happened during this incident, which has resulted in a man sustaining serious injuries.
"Motorists and members of the public who were in the area at the time and have information relevant to our investigation are asked to contact police immediately."
