Four teenagers arrested over racist attack in Edinburgh

Four teenagers have been arrested and charged following a racist attack in the north of Edinburgh.

Two 18-year-olds, of Arabian and Pakistani ethnicity, were attacked by a gang of youths at about 21:00 on Monday in West Pilton Terrace.

One of the victims was injured and their home was also damaged.

Two 16-year-olds, a 17-year-old and a 15-year-old, all male, are all due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court later in connection with the incident.

Insp David Happs, of Police Scotland, said: "In addition to these arrests, we are continuing with our investigation to trace others believed to be involved.

"Anyone with information that can assist with these enquiries is asked to come forward immediately."
