A second woman has died following a crash on the A1 in East Lothian.

The 21-year-old died in hospital after the crash involving a Ford Ka and Ford Focus, which happened near Torness Power Station at 19:40 on Thursday.

Another 21-year-old woman, who was passenger in the Ka, died at the scene. Three others were injured in the crash.

A 20-year-old female travelling in the Ka, a 23-year-old male driver and 20-year-old female passenger from the Focus were all taken to hospital.

Police Scotland urged anyone who witnessed the collision or who had information that could help to contact them.
