Boroughmuir High School reopens after hoax bomb threat

Boroughmuir High School Boroughmuir High School was closed following the hoax call

An Edinburgh school has reopened following a hoax bomb call to the police.

Boroughmuir High School was searched by experts following the call at 07:25.

Pupils in S1 to S4 were relocated to nearby St Oswald's Hall and Bruntsfield Primary School.

S5 and S6 were told to go home and report to the Dominion cinema at noon for a trip. Pupils and staff are now returning to the Viewforth building.

An Edinburgh City Council spokeswoman said: "Boroughmuir High School's Viewforth building was closed this morning due to a police incident, but has now reopened."
