Woman hit by car in Fife dies in hospital

An elderly woman who was knocked down by a car while crossing a road in Fife has died.

Margaret McKenzie, 86, was crossing Hospital Hill near St Andrew Street in Dunfermline at 10:05 on Friday, 29 November when she was knocked down.

She was taken to Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, but died on Saturday.

Police Scotland is appealing for witnesses. A report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.
