Man killed in stabbing in Dalkeith pub

A 28-year-old man has died after being stabbed in a pub in Midlothian.

The man, named locally as Craig Essen, was killed during the incident at the Rowan Tree Pub in Dalkeith at about 23:40 on Sunday.

The area was cordoned off while forensic teams investigated his death.

Police said they were following a positive line of inquiry, and asked for anyone with information to come forward.
