Appeal over CCTV assault images

CCTV The police want to speak to a man wearing a green retro Hibs Football shirt

Police have released images of a man they wish to trace in connection with an assault in the Leith area of Edinburgh earlier this year.

A 47-year-old man was hit on the head and fell to the ground, fracturing his wrist, in the Windsor Buffet Public House in Elm Row on Thursday 25 July.

Police wish to speak to a man wearing a green and white retro Hibs football top, with a number five on the back.

Officers asked for anyone who recognised the man to contact them.

PC Andy Gamble, of Police Scotland, said: "We wish to speak to the man pictured in the images in connection with our inquiries, and anyone who can assist us in tracing him is asked to come forward.

"Similarly, we would ask the man himself to get in touch and help with our investigation."
