Knifepoint robber sought by police in West Lothian

Police in West Lothian are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed at knifepoint in West Lothian.

The incident happened at about 23:30 on Sunday in Aller Place, in the Eliburn area of Livingston.

The 19-year-old was threatened at knifepoint by a man wearing a white plastic skull mask, and forced to hand over his mobile phone.

The thief was 5ft 10in tall, of medium build, and had a local accent.

He was wearing a dark hooded top with the hood up.

Det Sgt Craig Higgins, of Police Scotland, said: "While the victim wasn't injured, he was left badly shaken by the incident, and we are carrying out inquiries in the area to trace the suspect.

"As part of this we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the robbery, or who was in the area on Sunday evening and was aware of someone wearing a skull mask, to contact police."
