Motorist who approached Fife girl sought by police

A motorist who approached a teenage girl in a Fife village is being sought by police.

The 14-year-old was walking along a street in the Schoolhill area of Leuchars when the man stopped his Land Rover type vehicle and spoke to the girl.

The incident happened between 16:00 and 16:30 on Tuesday.

Although she was unharmed, officers are currently seeking more information about the incident.

Det Insp Nicola Shepherd, of Police Scotland, said: "We are keen to trace people who were in the area of Schoolhill and Pitlethie Road during these times.

"We are also interested in tracing a Land Rover type vehicle which was seen in the area of Schoolhill and Main Street, Leuchars around the time."
