Linlithgow Loch fall man in overnight rescue

Firefighters have rescued a man who fell into a West Lothian loch in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police officers who attended the incident at Linlithgow Loch called for additional help at about 02:30.

Fire crews from Edinburgh and Bo'ness used a 30ft (9m) ladder to reach the 30-year-old man, who had been struggling to make it onto the shore.

The man was later taken to St John's Hospital in Livingston for checks, but is not thought to have been injured.
