The family of a man found dead at a flat in Glenrothes have said he was a "much loved son" who will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Robert Shankland's body was discovered at a property in Brodie Court on Wednesday.

A woman and two men were arrested in connection with the death.

They made no plea or declaration when they appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Thursday charged with murder. They have been remanded in custody.

A statement from Mr Shankland's family said: "Robert was a much loved son, who will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

"He was a caring person who always had time for others. As a family we would appreciate if we could be left to grieve in peace at this difficult time."
