Three people in court over body find in Brodie Court in Glenrothes

Three people have been charged after a body was found at a flat in Glenrothes.

A 19-year-old woman and two men aged 22 and 23 are due to appear at Kirckaldy Sheriff Court over the death in Brodie Court, Glenrothes.

The body was found on Wednesday, prompting a major investigation by Fife Constabulary and the new Specialist Crime Division.

Fife Constabulary has increased the police presence in the area.

Ch Insp Derek McEwan, of Fife Constabulary, said: "We are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding this death. Officers from the Specialist Crime Division are assisting with this process which may continue for several days.

"I would like to assure the communities of Glenrothes that this incident appears to be an isolated one, but in any case there will be an increased police presence in the Stenton area of Glenrothes for several days to come.

"I would also appeal to anyone who resides in Brodie Court or surrounding streets, who may have seen or heard anything which could be viewed as suspicious to contact the police."
