Man in court over Edinburgh car park robberies

An 18-year-old youth has appeared in court in connection with alleged robberies from people who posted electronics items for sale online.

Thomas Ramsay, from Edinburgh, appeared in private before Sheriff Gordon Liddle at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.

Three people allegedly had items stolen in separate incidents at a McDonald's car park in Telford Road, Edinburgh, after arranging to meet a "buyer".

No plea or declaration was made on Mr Ramsay's behalf.

The case was continued for further inquiry. Mr Ramsay was remanded in custody.
