Woman detained over Valentine's Day stabbing in Edinburgh

A woman has been detained after a stabbing in Edinburgh on Valentine's Day.

Police were called to an address in Duff Street, in the Haymarket area of the city, at 22:15 on Thursday.

They found a 49-year-old man had suffered stab wounds. He remains in a stable condition in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.

A 22-year-old woman has been detained by police in connection with the incident.
