Family pays tribute to Ian McCance who was killed by a taxi in Edinburgh

The family of a man who died after being hit by a taxi in Edinburgh has paid tribute to the "much loved and loving father".

Ian McCance, 64, was crossing the road at the junction of Marchmont Road and Warrender Park Road when he was struck by a black cab.

He suffered serious head injuries after being hit at about 03:10 on Saturday.

"Our family is devastated by the sudden and tragic loss of our much loved and loving father," his family said.

Officers continue to appeal for anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward.
