Fife crash driver airlifted to hospital

A driver has been airlifted to hospital following a head-on crash with another vehicle on a Fife road.

The 68-year-old male has been taken to Ninewells Hospital, Dundee where he is critical but stable.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident, which happened on the A91 between Burnside and Strathmiglo at about 14:15 on Thursday.

The 68-year-old man was driving a red Subaru. A 29-year-old man was driving a blue Rover. He had minor injuries.

Sgt Brian Poole, of Fife Constabulary, said: "We are investigating this collision and I would appeal to anyone who may have seen it or anyone who may have seen either car on the A91 or surrounding roads to contact the police."
