Man found dead in Broxburn is named

Police have named a man whose body was found in a burn in Broxburn, West Lothian, on Saturday.

They said he was Andrew Cochrane, 56, who lived in the town. According to Lothian and Borders Police, his death was not suspicious.

Mr Cochrane was found by a dog walker in the stream next to Holmes Road at 09:00 on Saturday.

Police officers conducted inquiries over the weekend into the circumstances of the death.

A spokesman said: "(We) can now confirm that Mr Cochrane's death is not being treated as suspicious."
