Man arrested over robbery at Armadale shop

A 26-year-old man has been arrested after a West Lothian shop was allegedly robbed at knifepoint.

Police were called to the store in St Helen's Place, Armadale, at about 06:05 on Tuesday.

A spokesman for Lothian and Borders Police said the 26-year-old who had been detained was due to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court.

Officers also appealed for help tracing another man in connection with the incident.

He was described as white, medium to large build, and wearing a light coloured jacket with black stripes, and black trousers.
