Pedestrian dies in Edinburgh's Dundas Street

A man has died shortly after being struck by a vehicle in the early hours of Saturday.

The incident happened at about 01:25 on Dundas Street in Edinburgh. The man was taken to hospital but died of his injuries.

Lothian and Borders Police have issued an appeal for witnesses to make contact with them.

Officers said the vehicle was travelling northbound on Dundas Street, close to its junction with Heriot Row.
