Hawkhill Close murder: Victim Dodou Leigh named by police

Dodou Leigh Dodou Leigh lived in the Meadowbank area of Edinburgh

Police have named a man who was found dead with gunshot wounds in Edinburgh.

Dodou Leigh was found dead inside a flat in Hawkhill Close in the Leith area at 20:15 on Tuesday. He had been shot in the stomach.

Police said the 30-year-old was from Gambia and lived in the Meadowbank area of Edinburgh.

Two men, aged 25 and 29, have been arrested and charged in connection with Mr Leigh's death.

They are due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.

Lothian and Borders Police detectives are continuing their appeal for witnesses to contact them.
