Pedestrian knocked down by bus in Edinburgh

Bus The crash involved a Lothian Buses Airlink service

A pedestrian has been taken to hospital with head injuries after being knocked down by a bus in Edinburgh.

The man, who is thought to be in his 60s, was struck by a Lothian Buses Airlink airport service on Lothian Road, near the Western Approach Road.

Emergency services were called to the scene at 11:15.

It is thought that the man also sustained leg injuries. He has been taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for emergency treatment.
