Teenagers charged over assault and robbery in Edinburgh
Two teenagers have been charged in connection with an assault and robbery in Edinburgh.
Lothian and Borders Police said the victim was pushed to the ground and robbed of his mobile phone in an incident on Lasswade Road on Thursday.
Detectives carried out inquiries and two 16-year-olds were charged.
Police said the investigation was undertaken by officers as part of Operation Arable, an ongoing campaign to tackle street crime in the capital.
The phone was later recovered from a shop in the Gilmerton area.
