Grange Road attack: Man arrested after police make CCTV appeal

A 47-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an attack in Edinburgh after police released CCTV images of a man they wanted to trace.

An 89-year-old was assaulted by a man who tried to rob him in Grange Road at 10:10 on Saturday 20 October.

The attacker fled empty-handed when he could find nothing of value.

Lothian and Borders Police said the arrest came as a result of a CCTV appeal on Monday. The man will appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court later.
