Man charged over alleged hit-and-run in Liberton, Edinburgh

A man has been charged in connection with an alleged hit and-run collision in Edinburgh.

A 21-year-old male pedestrian was seriously injured when he was hit by a vehicle at Kirk Brae in Liberton in the early hours of Sunday morning.

He is being treated in hospital for what police described as "potentially life-changing injuries".

A 36-year-old man is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court at a later date.
