Police name man killed by collapsed wall in West Lothian

A man who died after a wall collapsed on him at his home in West Lothian has been named by police.

John Paterson, 66, from Uphall, was crushed under the wall at about 12:15 on Saturday in Langton View in East Calder.

He was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary but succumbed to his injuries soon after arriving.

Lothian and Borders Police and the Health and Safety Executive was now conducting a joint investigation.
