A prawn fisherman is being treated in hospital after he suffered serious injuries in his boat off the Fife coast.

The 18-year-old skipper was rescued by lifeboat after his arm was caught in machinery at about 21:30 on Sunday in Kirkcaldy Bay.

The 32ft boat, which was three miles off the coast was then taken to Port Seton.

Aberdeen Coastguard sent Kinghorn Lifeboat to the scene.
