Man's body found on Cramond shoreline

Queensferry The Queensferry lifeboat, which was launched to assist police officers

Lothian and Borders Police have started an investigation following the discovery of a man's body on the foreshore at Cramond in Edinburgh.

Officers were alerted early on Saturday morning.

Police requested the assistance of the Queensferry lifeboat, which was launched at about 10:30.

No information has been released concerning the identity of the dead man. A police spokesman said their inquiries were at an early stage.
