An elderly man has died days after being seriously injured after a collision with a van in West Lothian.
James McNabb from East Whitburn, was involved in a collision with a white Peugeot panel van in the town's Main Street, at about 23:40 on Saturday.
The 77-year-old was taken to hospital in Edinburgh with serious head and leg injuries but died on Monday night.
Police are trying to trace the driver and passengers of a silver seven-seater which drove past the crash site.
A Lothian and Borders Police spokesman said: "Officers are particularly keen to trace the driver and occupants of a silver seven-seater vehicle, possibly a private hire taxi, which is known to have travelled past the scene almost immediately after the collision before turning onto Hen's Nest Road."
