Boy, 10, seriously injured in crash in Cowdenbeath

A ten-year-old boy has been seriously injured in a road accident in Cowdenbeath in Fife.

It is understood he was knocked down by a blue Vauxhall in High Street in the town at about 16:25 on Saturday.

The road was closed for several hours while investigators examined the scene.

Sgt Ian Poolman from Fife Constabulary said: "I would appeal to anyone who may have been in the area of High Street and witnessed the accident to get in touch."
