Men charged over offensive chanting reports at Hearts Celtic game

Two men have been charged after reports of offensive chanting on the day of the Hearts versus Celtic game in Edinburgh last month.

Lothian and Borders Police said an 18-year-old man from Edinburgh and a 19-year-old man from Glasgow were arrested on Wednesday.

It follows reported incidents during the match at Tynecastle on 8 February.

Both men were released and are due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court later this month.

A spokesman for the force said further inquiries were taking place into chanting at the game.
