Blaze damages cars at Bathgate scrapyard

Firefighters tackled a blaze involving about 150 scrapped cars at a salvage yard in West Lothian overnight.

Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service was called to Campbells Auto Salvage Yard, near Bathgate, at about 02:00.

A spokesman said the fire was confined to the back of the yard of the Colinshiel View business.

Seven fire pumps and specialist equipment were used and the blaze was under control by 08:00.
