Man denies killing pigeon with his bare hands

A man is to stand trial accused of decapitating a pigeon with his bare hands in Fife.

Jonathon Leslie, from Aberdeen, is alleged to have caught the bird in Abbey Park, St Andrews, on 10 September last year.

He is accused of intentionally or recklessly killing a wild bird by removing its head with his hands.

Mr Leslie denied the charge at Cupar Sheriff Court. Sheriff Charles Macnair ordered him to stand trial in April.
