A man with a tattoo of a spider and the words Hardcore Forever on his arm is being sought in connection with the murder of a Polish man in Edinburgh.

Maciej Ciania's body was found in his flat in Dickson Street, Leith, on Saturday 14 January by his flatmate.

The 34-year-old is said to have suffered a "violent and brutal" death.

Police say they want to trace Polish man Grzegorz Gamla, who is 6ft 1in tall, of thin build, with brown eyes and short, dark close-cropped hair.

He was last seen wearing dark clothing, including a dark coloured Beanie-style hat.

Police in Edinburgh issue details of a man they want to question in connection with the death of a 34-year-old Polish national

Det Supt Gary Flannigan, of Lothian and Borders Police, said: "There is a strong possibility that he is no longer in the Edinburgh area and he may have travelled to other cities in the UK, where he may have associates, or that he may leave the country.

"A team of 40-plus officers has been working on this inquiry but so far we have been unable to trace Mr Gamla.

"We have had a lot of support from the Polish community, both locally in the Leith area of the city and from the wider community.

"A Crimestoppers reward of up to £1,000 has been offered for information that leads to the arrest of the person involved in the death of Mr Ciania."
