Heroin worth £500,000 and £20,000 worth of cannabis plants was recovered.

Det Supt Colin Beattie, of Fife Constabulary said: "This operation again goes to show the level at which some criminals operate at when attempting to bring controlled drugs to the communities of Fife.

"Fife Constabulary remains committed to targeting, disrupting and detecting those concerned in the supply of these illegal substances.

"The public can be rest assured that our staff have the knowledge and skills to deal with drug dealing on this scale, but we still need their help in building as full an intelligence picture as we can to establish how these organised crime groups are operating in our communities.

"I would again like to thank the public for their ongoing support in this regard and would urge them to continue to contact us with information."
